Here is what I have and what I tried to do to fix it. The system:
Intel i3 @ 3.3-GHz
4GB Ram
64 Bit Windows 10 PRO
68 GB left on HD
This is a work PC at the company my family owns, and I am going off of memory. The memory error starting popping up 2 days ago. The virtual memory was set for the system to control it. I showed Min. required at 16MB, recommended at 1395MB, and allocated at 12,288MB. So, I read that it should be set around 1.5 x installed RAM, so that is what I did. Well, there were no issues yesterday, and suddenly this morning Avast popped up with the memory warning. The only programs that are used on the machine are as follows:
Quick Books Point of Sale
Microsoft Office
Internet Explorer
Google Chrome
CC Cleaner
Avast
Malwarebytes
I also ran the memory diagnostic and that came back clean. I disabled a couple of things in start up, but everything else there is needed. I am at my wits end. Does anybody have any more ideas?

Solution
Looks like you are using 59% of ram which isn't bad, and the PC has 4GB total memory which is OK but considered a bit low. I'm using 4.1 GB at idle with only chrome open. So back to the original problem. What problems are occurring that would make you believe there is a memory problem.

By the way your pictures are of task manager, resource monitor provides much better detail.

First undo setting virtual memory from the fixed setting, let windows 10 manage that.

Be careful when you get pop ups about things that may, or may not. be wrong with the PC. If yo receive a low memory error, open task manager and check to see what is using memory and if you really are low.
