I was hoping to get some advice for a build focused on wireless video streaming. My wife's been using my old gaming rig, that I just added a cheap USB wireless adapter to. The whole rig is pretty dated, and seems to freeze during streaming pretty often. Without some build advice, my concern is that I'll go overboard and build a system with components and features she'll never use. I was thinking in broad strokes of a small form factor, basic home PC, with strong streaming capabilities.
Thanks in advance for any help and ideas.

Solution
you want a superior router with no walls between the router aand the pc for laggfree streaming.

else you got to use a powerline adapter and pull a cable from the router to the powerline adapter.
Agreed.

Only way to get reliable lag-free wireless streaming is to not use wireless.

If you cant run an ethernet cable (pretty easy to do if you have crawlspace or unfinished basement), then an av1000 or faster powerline adapter is the better more reliable option.
