Would I need a new motherboard for the AMD Ryzen 1600?

Currently I have an AsusTek motherboard running an AMD 10 processor and I was wondering if I would need to purchase another motherboard, which are ridiculously expensive to use the Ryzen I ordered on Amazon today

If you have an a10 apu then yes you'll need a new motherboard as the a10s are FM2 and Ryzen is AM4.

7th Generation A-series are APUs currently available in AM4 OEM PCs.

A10-9700
A10-9700E

I don't know what your "AsusTek motherboard running an AMD 10 processor" is but it may be compatible.
