Evga gtx 1080 doa?

Hello I've just bought a evga gtx 1080 sc and just received it in the mail I took my gtx 780ti out and uninstalled all the old drivers using ddu I put the new 1080 in and the leds came on and the fans started spinning but no display no matter what I do just black screen I tried a different cable and a different Pci slot but nothing works should I return it or try it in a friends computer btw not even the bios comes up I already reset the cmos but still black

before return it, try to upgrade motherboard bios, use the old gpu to do that, then try the new gpu

also, what psu do you have?

750w evga supernova the bios is already the newest one...

then apart from trying it on a friends pc, doa(dead on arrival) gpu, then rma(return to manufacturer)

thanks one more question for ya what are the chances that it fried my pci slot i sold the 780ti right before i got the 1080 so ive been using integrated i cant test the slots was just wandering before i rma it

never heard of such situation to happen or see something like that happen

unlikely

usually when something that bad happens, it kills the system, not just the slot
