Hello, I am buying a new PC today. I finalised the parts but I'm not yet sure whether they'll last a while. My budget is $1500. Here are my specs:

Intel core i5 7th gen.
Gigabyte B250-M3H motherboard.
16GB DDR4, HyperX Fury Ram.
250 Gb ssd, I already have a 2TB drive.
Zotac 4GB 1050 Ti Graphics card.

Other parts like the keyboard and mouse are finalised along with the cabinet and smps.
Please reply to this as soon as possible as I have to pay a bit in advance.
Thank you.

Well gaming at max settings. And I hope I can game at max settings for atleast 5-6 years in my $1500 budget.
Thanks a lot.

Given advances in GPU technology every 18-24 months, gaming on latest titles with ultra settings for 5-6 years might be a bit of a stretch...depending on the resolution, of course...

Example: a 780TI was super impressive in 2012...today, it's a massive bottleneck.

SPeaking from a CPU perspective, I'd abandon the i5, and either jump to i7-7700K, or the Ryzne R5/1600; 4c/4t is marginal in some of the newer titles, and this is not likely to improve with newer games...

I would have loved to go for the higher version of the processor but it's a bit out of my budget. Its almost $360 and my budget cannot go above $1500.

I don't see you doing max setting at with a 1050ti for long if you even can for AAA titles that came out within the last year at a high resolution. I picked up a 650 gtx a few years back and it's a big bottleneck now and it's 4 generations older than yours, I had to lower the resolution and settings as far as I could in order to play Fallout 4 a game released 3 years after my card was made. I put in a 1050 gtx in my spouses machine I recently built her, I expect to get a few years out of it before it needs to be replaced if she plans to play new releases. The fact is these are not high end cards and technology changes at a rapid pace so even high end stuff is outdated fairly quickly.

I be honest I don't know what your full build is though I imagine things can be changed around so we can maximize what your getting for your money. Head over to the systems forum and post what you are getting with Pcpartpicker and we make changes and suggestions as to what may work the best for you.
