I'm getting lower performance than what I should be getting with my new build and IDK what to do.

I'm running a 1700x @ 3.9, gtx 1080ti sc2, and 16gb 3200mhz ram. I was playing bf1 just now at 1440p on high and I'm getting lower performance than what was shown by various tech sites (legitreviews, hardocp, techpowerup) and various youtubers. On the same settings with the same hardware (some even used a gtx 1080, slower ram speeds, and ultra settings). I'm "supposed" to be getting an average of 70-80 fps while I'm getting between 50-60ish fps. I tried everything and don't know what to do anymore. Just a bit frustrated at the moment. Hoping someone here has a similar issue and wouldn't mind helping out.

But I'm getting between 50 and 60. And I'm supposed to be getting a higher framerate. I just don't know why I'm not (even with a lower resolution than what was being tested).

Ok, then do a thing, download passmark performance test and see how your components fair against other similar builds.

Just ran passmark and got a score of 4974. Everything seems to be on par or better than similar components. One thing though, my gpu has scored lower than a gtx 980 in 2d graphics mark. Here are the scores: http://imgur.com/a/rbFaE

ok, i know what happened here... dont be saddened but sometimes some chips are underperformers and you cant do anything about it. Its not that its faulty or damaged but performancewise is less powerful than the same gpu chipset... i am very sry, but sometimes its true...

What? How? People with the same or even slightly lower end setup are getting much better performance. How can only my chip underperform?
