How to provide sound to both speakers and earphones

I currently have computer speakers that run off a single green wire as well as earphones. I would like to run both of them off the back of my computer. However it seems that both of them run off the green port. What should I do in this case?

I do not need the mic function of my earphones, just the sound to pass through it will do.

Please also do not suggest plugging one to the back and the other to the front of the case, I know that would work but I'm hoping for a solution where I can run both through the back of my case.

Thank you.

Depending on soundcard on the motherboard and if you have installed the full software suite for it or just drivers.
Realtek (one of the most common sound cards in motherboards) support jack repurposing so you can plug whatever you want, where-ever you want and choose what it is.

that is, plug speakers to back and plug headset to back and both would work.

Right, I see. No way to do it without spending any money then? Like maybe I can plug in the speakers into the green color and the earphones into the black color or something like that?

Also, if I really do decide to get that, can I toggle between the computer speakers and the earphones without actually unplugging one of the outputs?
