Sorry, but I am a novice at being able to do that. I don't know how to do a screenshot. This is a registry key, I think. and that's pretty much what malwarebytes brings up as a pum

Malwarebytes telss me the registry key is HKU]52.1.5.176161565......57985321.1000\SOFTWARE That is exactly what it's showing.

It might be the case that another program (like your antivirus, CCleaner, or some other anti-malware app you've used) already deleted the files but left the Registry keys behind. Just set Malwarebytes to put it in Quarantined. Do you have any other antivirus software on your PC? Have you ran it and did it detect anything else? If there's no other detected issue, I think your PC is OK. My usual rules apply: stay off of questionable web sites, don't open email attachments unless you're expecting the attachment from someone you know and use a password manager, like Lastpass, to use secure passwords for all your log ins.

Could you explain why malwarebytes detects PUM.Optional.nodrives, quarantines it as I directed, but tomorrow I can run it again and it will again be detected? I haven't installed anything that I know is a malware suuspect and can't figure this out. I do use CCleaner and Superantispyware. And, my computer, running Windows 7 has the Microsoft Security Essentials.
