Does ram speed matter?

Ram speed does matter in gaming, but it has a drastically less of an impact compared to either a cpu or gpu. Faster ram will improve fps by small increments. The ram you have should be fine assuming its paired with a decent cpu/gpu

It all depends on the games you play, don't expect playing triple A titles at max settings, but things like GTA V at med settings should be fine. Mobas should be smooth.
