I've always used an Ethernet connection and its worked fine.
when i needed to use wifi at one point i bought a little wifi adapter and i could never get the drivers to successfully install.
Same thing with the second wifi adapter.
Would always end up getting the parameter is incorrect/ code 31, I tried all available drivers before finally just buying my beloved 30ft cat whatever cable.
Well now i am in another situation where i am trying to setup some temporary wifi again and having absolutely no luck.
I can't use a VPN on my pc such as betternet because it wouldn't let me install its drivers because of the same thing.
I'm currently trying to tether usb internet from my phone to my pc which should work fine as long as i could get those damn drivers installed.
It's always just the WIFI driver they never work.
Do i need to disable my Ethernet connection? Which I've already tried in device manager.
Download an update for Windows?
I've looked at so many fourms and so far nothing has really worked at all.
So my current problem is im trying to setup the usb tethering internet yadayada. I installed all the latest drivers from Samsung (i have a galaxy s7) all of them installed fine except for the WIFI drivers or in this specific case --
