Hello I have a msi gaming pro carbon z170a motherboard and was recently cleaning my video card and as I was pulling the video card out I broke a smd capacitor off I think that's what their called it's really small square it's right next to the audio boost thing on the back near the pci slot my audio works fine and the pc boots but I don't know if theirs gonna be problems under heavy load rf if my pci slot are toast I don't have a gpu to test at the moment as i just sold the one I had to upgrade

Solution

Ohh ok, dont worry its for audio. It reduces interference or noise...
Can you post a pic so i can help you better. I think the capacitor is for reducing noise or interference (read it somewhere) but i maybe wrong. I think u broke it but its still attached to the motherboard and still working.
I also think those caps are for controlling the c-states, i.e they are responsible for the power management module.
Post a pic, so i can help you better.
