WiFi running 10-15mbps faster than ethernet

Greetings, trying to discern what might be the weak point causing slower hardwired speeds than over wifi.

Network is setup as follows: Arris SB6141 modem >cat7 3' cable> Asus AC3200 >cat6 ~15' cable> PC
Note 3 is connected to 5GHz access point, only other active network device is chromecast.

I've ran numerous speedtests of late on my PC and found that it caps pretty much spot on at 60mbps every time. Direct to modem also gave 60mbps. Ran speedtest the other day on my phone and got 75mbps. Tested quite a few times since and seems to average around 70mbps.

The ethernet port on my PC is Intel Gigabit I219-V, and I've tried a different cat6 cable with the same result.

So what's the deal?

PC details: ASUS Z270H MB, Corsair TX750W PSU, Intel I219-V network adapter driver version 12.15.23.9, Windows 10 x64

Solution
To truly eliminate the PC you need to connect another device via wired ethernet and verify that the throughput is higher than 60Mbit. Comparing a wired device to a wireless device does not provide any insight.

I have the same issue here it's a weird one but then I do use a pretty expensive wireless access point that comes off my router but still it doesn't make a whole lot of sense.

Well since you put it like that Windows is pretty bad for this sort of thing and even on the same PC with dual booted Linux, the speed in Linux is much faster than Windows.

Yep it's still far faster than Windows though but then it depends what distro you use I suppose

Try the speedtest on DSLReports.com Speedtest.Net can be very sensitive to bursts and misreport. I've seen speedtest.net report faster than my internet speed and I have a dedicated connection with an exact speed. Even validated on my firewall, the throughput reported was about 20% higher than the actual.
