Steam notifications are messed up.

So when i comment on a post on steam i dont get notifications from replies like i used to. This is really annoying because i need to bookmark a discussion if i want to come back to if later.

Is there a way to turn notifications back on?

Everytime you create a new Thread or someone Posts anything on Steam Discussions that you are following you're automatically subscribed to these threads and will receive all updates from both steam platform itself and your registered e-mail account, maybe you've unsubscribed from these threads unintentionally and now, you are not receiving any reply notifications at all, try to also check your Steam Account Settings from Both Community page and Account settings and check this

Maybe it will help you figure it out, if none of these works, simply reinstall steam but keep the games folder it's very easy to do

Thank you for the suggestion! I finally managed to solve this problem.

I unsubbed from a discussion one time and for some reason that unticked the "Sub to discussion" option while typing a response.

i didnt even know that little tick box existed and ive been playing pc for 2.5 years lol.

I was not subbing to everything i typed a response on.
