PC only loads with 1 ram stick

So I had this 2x4gb for like 3 years and couple days ago i couldnt even load to bios so i read somewhere that i should take out a ram and stick in only 1 stick of ram. Did it and pc launched but whenver i try to load up with 2 ram sticks all i can see is black screen. Can anybody help me with that problem? Here are my specs
COOLER MASTER 80+ BRONZE 550WAT
ASUS SABERTOOTH Z97 MARK 1
INTEL CORE I7 4770K
GTX 980 GIGABYTE
2x4gb kingston 1600mhz cl9
windows 10 x64

You have to test each stick in the first DIMM slot to know. If they both work in DIMM slot one you then check with both in swapping them around. If one doesnt work then your second DIMM slot must be bad. If thats the case try both in bank 1 instead of bank 0. You just have to test them to know.

It was a kit of 2x4gb and ive been using them for like 3 years and suddenly they doesnt work now? Is it ram and should i replace it or its a problem with something else?
