What would be the best lga 1150 cpu for the gtx 1050 ti sc for around $200? I currently have an i5 4460. Works pretty well but I'm wondering if there is something better.

If you aren't experience CPU limitations right now I would wait to buy a CPU. Now isn't really the best time to upgrade your CPU. Intel is coming out with 6-core mainstream Core i5 & i7 at the end of this year and that will hopefully drop the prices on the older quad-core i7.

But as previously mentioned, if you want to keep your LGA 1150 system be looking for an i7-4770K or 4790K in the used market and maybe you can find a price you like. The 4790K has been the same price used for the past 3 years so hopefully the price will drop when the next-gen comes out.

Sure there are better CPUs, but might not be worth the cost unless you sold your i5. If you had a better GPU I could see upgrading the CPU.

i7-4770K is cheaper on eBay, about $220-$225. Would be the better bang for your buck considering the 4790K is $275 (on a good day) or more. But either would be the only CPU upgrade you should consider for the LGA 1150.

*I just looked and there's a 4770K for $200, but there doesn't seem to be a picture of the actual CPU so I'm not sure I would buy it.

Upgrading the CPU will not give you a better gaming experience than upgrading your video card. Video cards are really expensive now, because of Crypto mining. If it's a better gaming experience you want then hold out until new video cards come out with reasonable pricing.
