My pc will go to a black screen upon booting it up right after the motherboard loading logo. After extensive troubleshooting i realized that whenever i (in safe mode) uninstall the 980Ti drivers in device manager, the pc will boot up just fine. I have successfully reproduced this 3 times in a row. What could be causing this problem? I don't want to have to delete my drivers every time i shut down my pc. Is my graphics card going bad? I just played a high graphics demanding game for an hour and it seemed to work fine so i'm not sure.

Yes it is likely the card. Did you try the card in another system? Try a clean Windows setup?
