So yea i am having really old pc but it can still play most of the games with r7 250 2gb on 720p +
Q9400/4gb ram ddr2
Sadly my q9400 died and motherboard support only 4gb of ram so i am thinking to upgrade to something newer and by newer i mean 2012++ since i am still in 2008 xD
I am not looking for new gpu, one that i already have works fine as i said.
I am looking for something that will hold me up as q9400 did also i am looking for motherboard that supports 8gb ram +

i could maybe go to 150$ but not sure if i will be able to

Thanks for help !

Solution
for 150$ best I can suggest is :

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

CPU: Intel - Celeron G3900 2.8GHz Dual-Core Processor ($39.99 @ B&H)
Motherboard: Gigabyte - GA-H110M-A Micro ATX LGA1151 Motherboard ($52.49 @ SuperBiiz)
Memory: Crucial - Ballistix Sport LT 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR4-2400 Memory ($59.99 @ Amazon)
Total: $152.47
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

but I strongly suggest to get 200$ and get the G4560/B250 Motherboard and 8GB as show above.
With that budget, you'd be looking at a CPU + MB pairing such as this:

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

CPU: Intel - Pentium G4560 3.5GHz Dual-Core Processor ($78.89 @ B&H)
Motherboard: MSI - B250M PRO-VD Micro ATX LGA1151 Motherboard ($63.88 @ OutletPC)
Total: $142.77
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

But, you still have to add costs for the new RAM though as the above parts need DDR4 RAM:

8GB (2 x 4GB kit) DDR4-2400MHz:
Crucial - Ballistix Sport LT 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR4-2400 Memory ($59.99 @ Amazon)

or

16GB (2 x 8GB kit) DDR4-2400MHz:
Corsair - Vengeance LPX 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-2400 Memory ($115.88 @ Amazon)

for 150$ best I can suggest is :

Solution
well here is a list of motherboards that can support the Q9400 your going to have to figure out 2 things, are they available in Serbia, and does the motherboard can handle 8gb. do you guys have a Serbia ebay equivalent.?

http://www.cpu-upgrade.com/CPUs/Intel/Core_2_Quad/Q9400_motherboards.html

PS: I know the ASUS P5QL-VM DO ( I use one with a Q8300) will support Q9400 and 16GB DDR2 most motherboards that support DDR3 for these cpu will have 8GB limit.

good luck

we got sites where you can buy used parts simular to ebay, problem with ddr4 is that it is rare and even if you find it it is over 100$ for one stick of 8 gb
That is why i am looking for something from 2012+ where ddr3 was still useable.
