Hey everyone!
Lately my CPU is making a LOT of noise and getting really heated, especially when playing games, even on lower settings. It didn't use to be quite like this.

I'm only semi literate when it comes to stuff like this, and I can't tell if it's my cooler that needs changing or my CPU (an Amd a10-5800k apu, granted a little old, about 2 years). Would a new cooler help? Or should I starts saving for a new CPU?

Thanks!

Solution
I would open case and observe the fan first, does it spin ?
Has your heat sink been cleaned in the last 2 months ?
run HWINFO and play game and see what max tempo your system is pushing, anything above 85c I would start seriously investigating

possible things to do
clean system out of dust, especially fans, heatsink.
pull heatsink, clean cpu/heatsink of old thermal paste and reapply a new layer

the noise you speak off, is likely a fan, or if a water cooler, then the pump is probably on its way out.
