Why are we even talking about FX anymore, it's either the i3 or the Ryzen 3, FX series is almost invalid now. Yes, games love single thread performance, but 4 cores is something almost all games benefit from, so performance on the Ryzen 3 CPUs will be better than i3's even with the better single-threaded performance of the i3.

If you have already built it then it's a good system to do moderate 1080p gaming on.

My suggestion to you if you have not built it is to wait for Ryzen 3 processors to come out or use a Pentium chip from Intel such as the G4560. AMD FX series chips are becoming obsolete and you can get more for your money by buying something newer around the same price point. From what I've seen, the FX 6300 is going for around $80 give or take. The Ryzen 3's should be somewhere around $100 or so (only speculating here) and the G4560 is only $60.

Try to stay away from the FX lineup. You want your system to be relevant for as long as possible.

Yea ive had this PC for nearly 2 years and am just wondering what i should upgrade firat as i dont want to buy a new pc as its too much money... The reason for this as now games like playerunknowns and similar are starting to strain it

It's better you wait for Ryzen 3, it's a short wait now - they're launching 27 July. They'll cost around an i3 and will probably perform much better. i3's are terrible now, won't last much.

I only suggested the i3 to give you a good sampling of what's out there around that price point. An i3 isn't horrible but it does not perform as well as the Ryzen 3's are slated to be. It does, however, have a way better single threaded performance over the FX 6300 which is what games like.
