nvidia won't detect after windows update

I went through a windows 10 update and it caused nothing but problems couldn't get it out of the spinning cursor or black screen for along time had to switch between dvi ports to get on finally but now no matter which port i use I get You are not currently using a display attached to an NVIDIA GPU is my gnu dead? I have tried deleting all the old drivers and installing new ones but I can't even access nvidia control panel anymore

if your monitor is connected to the gpu, the gpu is working, this would be a windows error, perhaps a install of a new windows 10 iso could help here

i would do backups of all my files, games, everything, then download a new iso or create a usb installer, format the hard disk, install new windows and install new drivers on windows, see if that works

used ddu and updated to the newest driver and did a fresh install of it but my computer won't recognize that my gpu is even plugged in all it shows is "You are not currently using a display attached to an NVIDIA GPU" the gpu fans are running and my computer is set to use the pci slot for graphics but it keeps using the on board graphics and i have no where to select my gpu thats when i can even get the computer to load is there more drivers corrupted thought my comp can't instal any new windows updates
