Powerline not connecting to router

So I've randomly got an error that is the following:

Powerline 1 and 2 are linked and I did reset them and re-link them.

Connection between pc and powerline 1 is fine, no issues.

Connection between powerline 2 and router is nonexistent for no reason I know. And therefore powerline turns off after a few minutes.

I did try swapping powerline 1 with 2 and vice versa. I tried to set a static IP and that doesn't work. I tried resetting ipconfig with "netsh" etc. I've also tried another Ethernet port, which also didn't work.

Another error I got is that my IP configuration isn't correct as my IP now suddenly had became: 169.254.42.49 instead of 192.168.0.6

I have not a single clue other than the router malfunctioning. Any way to fix it?

Solution
Go to the TP-Link support site and look at the administrative tool for PL adapters (they have an FAQ area that covers such issues) -- you can usually fix any issues with that, although you may have to do several resets.

Once reset properly, the PL adapter should be a passive device for connection with no network of its own.

Unless you have specifically altered your router LAN port settings, all ports should work equally well and none should be blocked.

What brand and model powerline adapters? And what OS version are you using?

There are several potential issues, some PL adapters will sometimes set up their own network that is different than yours and they need to be reset (often with a software tool from the manufacturer but some with just a reset button and then re-paired to each other without their own network address).

The computer with the 169.x.x.x address is just using the default MS Windows network address when it cannot find a real network connection.
