I put in a new motherboard and processor today and when gaming after about 5 minutes my computer turns itself off and can't figure out why. I have the following specs:

AMD FX 8350 8 Core 4GHz
990x-Gaming SLI motherboard
8gb Ram
Asus Geforce GTX 1050TI 4gb
500W PSU

Computer runs fine until I start gaming, none of my processor cores are parked, my gpu runs at about 50degrees when gaming and my cpu at about 35degrees. Tried underclocking GPU. Checked all of my connectors to make sure I attached everything and my Bios is up to date. Checked a website online which also stated that my 500w PSU is enough for my set up. Please help? :)

If this is your PSU , change it , very very poor quality and most likely your issue.

Have you tried the RAM in a different slot.

Also, that PSU seems to be an extreme budget PSU. I'm seeing a lot of comments on different sites saying it's not up to scratch for gaming.

General rule of thumb, where possible always pay the extra and buy a reputable PSU

What processor/mobo did you used to have?

might try a new PSU then. This is the one I got supplied with from the company who built my gaming computer originally. I did have the AMD Athlon X4 860K with a Gigabyte GA-F2A68HM-HD2
