So, I need to ship my GPU and found the box, and all the packing inside but cannot find the anti-static bag. Will the GPU be safe just like this or should I try to go find an antistatic bag? Will something else work just as good?

I would find a anti-static bag. If you don't, you may very well void the warranty. They usually do require the original packing in the wording of the warranty for any returns.

And it also protects your investment if you are just shipping it for repairs.
Ideally it should be in an anti static bag, ask around your local 'mon and pop' computer stores, they'll probably have dozens sitting around.
No need to be cute and clever here, any bag that fits will do the job: Motherboard, GPU or add in card.

Crisis averted! My buddy that got a new GPU hooked it up with one for me!
