I need a bit of help. My IIYAMA ProLite GB2488HSU is having a problem i have never seen before. For a few hours after turning it on it works fine but then it starts distorting the right side of the monitor until it is near impossible to see what is there and then it just displays a solid colour. The weird thing is though that if i leave it for a bit then plug it back in the cycle will repeat again. Does this mean i need a new monitor?

This could be your monitor or your graphics card. You can use another monitor or a TV to isolate the problem to your monitor or GPU.

If it is your monitor, then I would try resetting the monitor first (remove all cables and power cords for 30 seconds or so ). If that doesn't help, you can go through the trouble shooting steps in your manual or on the website.

Its not my gpu, I know that as it happened while i was using my gpu and on 2 separate gaming consoles. I am using another monitor with the exact same wired setup and its working fine but i havnt looked on the manual yet so ill do that now.
