Hi. Currently I have had a socket FM2+ custom build PC for about a year and a half. I've paired the socket with an AMD A10-7870k which at the time was the most powerful CPU compatible with the fm2+ socket. Later on I also got a GPU to replace the integrated graphics since they are pretty much useless for modern gaming. I'm planning to stick with this custom build until Windows 7 support ends (January 2020) since I want to wait until Windows 10 fully matures and everything is fleshed out and dx12 becomes more ideal than dx11. Currently all I do is play somewhat light-moderate games like Killing Floor 2, Metro 2033 Redux, Serious Sam III, and AOE2. Here is my build so far:

CPU: AMD A10 7870k (as stated before)
GPU: Sapphire AMD RX 460 4 GB
RAM: 16gb DDR3
SSD: Silicon Power 60 GB SSD (only for windows)
HDD: 1 TB WD Blue (for games, programs etc...)
Motherboard: Gigabyte A78m-D3H

I'm aware that AMD is currently in the process of replacing the fm2+ socket with am4,ryzen, and Ravenridge APU's. All I want to do is max out this socket to have the best fm2+ CPU. Thanks!

Solution
You've already got the best (basically). No need to waste money on another FM2+ CPU to get another 2fps in your games. Save for a new CPU/Mobo/RAM combo. Ryzen 5 or Intel.
