Will the Intel 750 400gb SSD work with my motherboard?

Hi,

I recently received an Intel 750 400gb SSD from a friend and have installed it into my rig. It seems to work just fine, it shows up under This PC and will run anything I put on it flawlessly. However, I tried to put Windows onto it since that's what I was planning on using it for anyways, but it's not seeming to work. I've tried cloning my current setup to it, as well as trying to install Windows off of a bootable USB, but nothing seems to work. I'm wondering if there is some sort of incompatibility that I'm not aware of, since I have a rather niche motherboard.

My motherboard is an Asus P8B75-M/CSM Micro ATX

If any other information is needed I'll be happy to add it in a reply.

Solution
Intel's first PCIe based consumer SSD, combining four lanes of PCIe 3.0 with state-of-the-art NMV Express (NVMe) interface.

Asus didn't start to support NVMe until Intel Series 9 Chipset motherboards. Your Series 7, Intel B75 Express Chipset does not support NVMe storage. Asus has no plans to offer NVMe support on legacy motherboards like your Asus P8B75-M/CSM.

Thanks, I figured it wouldn't but I don't know enough about motherboards to tell.

Another question, if you would - Are there any motherboards that would support the Intel 750 that have an LGA 1155 socket? I don't think there are, but like I said, not sure. If not, would my only bet be to upgrade both motherboard and processor in order to have full compatibility?
