Hello,

So i want to underclock my laptop using MSI Afterburner to limit the performance so that my laptop won't overheat.
The problem is that i cannot move the memory clock and core clock slider, when i try to move the slider and then press apply, it would go back to its original position.

Right now the only option for me to change my GPU performance is by changing the graphic setting through power option, which is either maximum battery life or maximum performance. The problem with this method is that it makes my laptop either too slow or too fast which makes it overheat.

the speed for maximum battery life is:
Core Clock = 400
Memory Clock = 600

the speed for maximum performance:
Core Clock = 980
Memory Clock = 900

My graphic card is AMD Radeon R7 M260.
i want to change it so that it will be limited at 750 for both the core and memory clock but for some reason i just cannot because it would go back to the speed specified by the power option.

Thanks beforehand and sorry for my bad english :).

Solution
use the amd gpu/graphics settings on your laptop.
no need to use the afterburner tool.
might have to go thru control panel, if you dont see it in right-click menu
