gtx 1080 noise

my gtx 1080 seems to have or make moaning sounds like saw or a cat.. but i dont see frame drops or anything bad at all even after hours of playing.. is this normal? i am confused

Yeah its called Coil whine. wont cause any problems except for an annoying sound.

Yeah its pretty normal.

Some manufacturers will let you replace the card if its loud coil whine.

i wonder if there is a way to make the sound go away... i can use headphones or have loud speakers

Sometimes running it on a benchmark for a few hours can reduce it, or just turn the fans up on the card so they are louder than the whine.

Or as you say, use headphones.
