So I have a ASUS A68HM-PLUS with a AMD A10-7890k processor and a gtx 1060. I have been saving up and have enough money to buy a CPU around the 400 marker. What CPU upgrade do you guys recommend?
Thanks! - Luca

Solution
Well a new cpu also requires a new motherboard and ram.

You should probably look at the Ryzen 1600+B350 motherboard and 16gb of DDR4 ram.

Where are you from? Do you have any site you want to order it from so I can have look what the best thing is for your budget.

Thanks for the help and that fits my budget perfectly, I'm from the UK and I was just hoping I wouldn't have to do any upgrading motherboard wise. The wiring and management just scares me, and I didn't really want to upgrade my motherboard because I don't want to fresh install windows and lose all my files.
Thanks - Luca

I get your point, but a new cpu like the ryzen 1600 requires a new motherboard and ddr4 ram and also a clean install of windows, just make sure you make a back up of important stuff. :)

Dont be scared of the wires, its pretty easy. Dont rush it and take your time, also use the instruction manual everything you need to know should be in there. Good luck! Any other questions just let us know. :)

Firstly, I would just like to thank you for your time and help with my problem. It has been a while and a question just burst into my head out of nowhere! So I have a vortex core ii case and I was wondering if those parts would fit into my case. Also, I think that I do not longer have access to my windows install CD. Does this mean that when I am doing a clean install of windows from my BIOS would I need to purchase another windows key? Help would be really appreciated!
Thanks! - Luca
