Can I Use a fan with less TDP than the CPU?

I'm a bit stuck because I need a new cooler for my CPU which is an AMD FX 8350 because it is too loud - I looked at the CM Hyper 212 but it is too big for my case - then I saw the Be Quiet Pure Rock Slim - My CPU has a TDP rating of 125 but the pure rock slim has a TDP rating of 120 - is that ok or do i HAVE to get a fan of at least 125 TDP - not looking to overclock or anything i just want to be able to game with a much more silent fan. Hope you understand, thanks

I had the TX3 on my FX6300, I would highly recommend it, It's dirt cheap brand new, the noise difference is night and day between this and the stock cooler, and it'll reduce your temps significantly .
It also states a max compatible CPU TDP of 130w on CM website.

ok, thanks - but i cant find the TDP of the tx3 evo on the cm website - unless i should get the tx3 non evo
