Hello , I have a problem with my gpu that is Asus GTX 1080 Strix I cant get high gpu usage with normal temp and normal cpu temp and dont know what can be the problem.
Playing csgo I get a gpu usage between 10-30% never go higher while this happening my cpu got 70-80% i feel in csgo i have poor perfomance for fps drops or something bad.
Playing Black Desert I get a gpu usage between 30-45% and cpu usage 80-99%

My Specs Are
GPU : Asus GTX 1080 Strix 8GB
CPU : i5 4690k 3.5GHZ
Cooler: Noctua Nh-d15
PSU : Thermaltake litepower 700 http://www.thermaltake.com/products-model.aspx?id=C_00001776
Ram : G.Skill Ripjaws X DDR3 1600 PC3-12800 8GB 2x4GB CL9
Motherboard : Asus z97 pro gamer
also got a Toshiba DT01ACA100 1TB and ssd Samsung 850 Pro 256GB
windows 7 ultimate 64bit

I need help for find why i have this poor perfomance and fps drops, maybe for the old psu? maybe i need to upgrade to 16gb? maybe my cpu bottleneck 1080? I tryed w10, w7, overclock my cpu, scan for malwares, update all drivers back to old drivers and nothing i dont know what can I do, hope you can help me.

If you've tried everything and you are still not satisfied with your performance, you've virtually eradicated every other possibility. I would overclock the CPU to watch for any performance improvement. If you see improvement, then your CPU will be bottlenecking.

Some would argue you could also try unparking your cores: http://www.coderbag.com/Programming-C/Disable-CPU-Core-Parking-Utility

On top of that, if you're worried your PSU is not supplying enough power, you can test with a multimeter or swap out the PSU. Then watch for any changes.

I wouldn't necessarily expect the i5 4690K to hold back the 1080 too much really, it pairs well in some applications. But it'll certainly be a limiting factor in CPU heavier applications, especially if you're using a 144Hz monitor, but generally I wouldn't expect too much of a problem with a 4690K in many applications.

But more importantly what is your GPU, CPU and RAM usage under load? 8GB is recommended for BD, but should easily account for CSGO.

- NVIDIA Control Panel could be capping the performance of your GPU for power management
- Could be background processes hogging hardware resource, check if there are any background processes hogging resources
- CPU could be capped from power management settings
- Ensure the storage disks have been cleaned / optimised as far as possible and regularly
- (You've already done) Could be virus / malware using hardware resource, run scans as appropriate
- (You've already done) Out of date / conflciting drivers - ensure all of your drivers are up to date
- (You've already done) GPU or CPU could potentially be overheating - you'd need to monitor temps and % load of the components.

Yes I downloaded cod black ops 2 singleplayer for test and yes same problem

It may be worth noting what your individual core usage is, as opposed to the entire CPU. Can you see each core load specifically? It only takes one core to bottleneck.

CSGO is not graphically demanding, so in many of these cases, it's often your CPU causing the hold up. Assuming that you say you have covered every other option stated earlier. Including the CPU power management in your BIOS

Underpowered PSUs tend to cause overall poor system stability. It can cause low FPS, but I would see it accompanied by other symptoms such as crashes. Using a multimeter to detect output will confirm

Have you also assigned high task priority to your games?

Are you saying that in Fallout 4 your performance was fine? Because it could even be your Internet limiting you on MMO.

Does reducing your in game settings improve overall performance? If so it would potentially sound like a bottleneck of somekind, likely the CPU. If overclocking increases performance it would suggest that too.

*In Fallout 4 I feel the perfomance is great 1920x1080 144hz all ultra but im not sure if is the right perfomance for my specs.I have 150 megas optical fiber maybe my router is the problem dont know :(
