Hello,
I just bought a gigabyte geforce gtx 1050ti oc from amazon and tried installing it on my pc to no avail. After starting the pc the bios menu shows up and gets frozen and I occasionaly hear beeps. I tried switching to my old graphics card which made my pc start normally again. I think my mainboard is not compatible with my graphics card because I have updated my bios to the latest version already which didnt help the situation. Is my mainboard not compatible with my graphics card?
My specs:
Mainboard:Aspire M3985
Cpu: i5 2300
8gb ram
Windows 7 ultimate

As per what you are saying your motherboard is fine as all PCIeX16 can deliver 75W most likely the PSU don't have enough juice to power up the system,or the 1050ti you got have a 6/8 pin extra power connector requirement. in any case you need to get a new PSU a decent brand 450-500 Watt PSU will work fine and get you up and running at minimal cost "from $25-$40".

Update: Just checked its your PSU for sure you got a low brand 300W PSU in OEM which is most like giving about 200ish watt

Well the thing is I already have a 530 w PSU and my graphics card only gets power from the motherboard.
