Will a GTX 1050 GPU work with an HP 6000 Pro and 3048h motherboard?

To answer the question, yes, it will work with your motherboard, but there are a couple of other things to consider. If you have the small form factor case, the card will not fit. It needs to be the mid size case. 2nd thing to consider is whether or not the power supply a) has enough wattage and b) has a 6pin connection to power the 1050ti. Hopefully there are a couple of molex connections that you can adapt to a 6pin.

3048h motherboard has a PCIe x16 slot, so as long as it fits in the case it should be okay. If it doesn't fit you could just remove the side panels and leave them off, and maybe that will help.
I do believe that you'll also have to upgrade your power supply as well. 240W may not be enough to completely cover all of the power needs of the 1050ti, however you could probably get a 350 or 400W PSU for pretty cheap.
You should consider upgrading your whole PC at some point, as your CPU will sorely bottleneck that GPU, considering how low profile the 6000 pro is.

We have a number of these SFF computers in our office. We usually add a fan-less GTX 210 video card into them for dual-monitor display. The problems we run into with these computers is the heat build-up and the marginal power supply in them. I don't know if the 1050Ti would stress the computer even more.

I have no worries about anything but motherboard and bios incompatibility, so are these things safe? (It's low profile)

I misread the video card. If you get a 1050 that is made for a low profile case, the only issue you may have is the PSU. The 1050 does not require a 6pin, it draws all of its power from the PCIe. But it recommends a minimum of 300w.
