I've decided I wanted to upgrade the ram on my Dell Inspiron 3647 from 4GB to 8GB however I'm not sure if any 8bg ram with the correct specs will do or if I have to use Dell's RAM.
I've check on Dells website and chatted with tech support who of course directed me towards a Dell product. But when using a website like http://www.crucial.com/usa/en/compatible-upgrade-for/Dell/inspiron-3647 or https://www.kingston.com/us/memory/search/Options they direct me towards their brands.
In other words do I need Dell brand RAM or can I choose?
