Hello
About 2 months ago I made myself a new pc... I had many issues at first but eventually it started working apart from one thing... It would restart continuously but only when gaming... I removed the side to my pc and did things such as push the ram in more, wiggle and force in the plugs more forcing them in. Even though nothing felt like it was going in further it must have been because my pc stopped doing it. In the last week my pc started doing the issue again. I decided that I would try what seemed to work at first and it did... For about another day... So I did the same thing... About 4 days later mid comp match in overwatch it did the same thing (when I was a game from diamond that I was winning ) this really annoyed me and I did the same thing but I know the fix will only be temporary... I sent it too a friend to see if he could fix the issue and he is working on it now but the chances of it actually being fixed are low considering I will only be able to test it when it restarts... This could take weeks or even months but who knows... Either way here is some information on it... It only seems to restart during gaming though once it did it in the overwatch menu without joining a game... I have a restart button on my pc and it acts like I've pressed that... Without warning or blue screen or anything the monitor goes black before booting up again...

It's weird because it seems to only happen with gaming but it's a cable wiggle temporary fix... I think it could be some faulty cords maybe or the power supply itself but I would like to know since I still have warrenty (I think) and should be able to replace it. It may also be the motherboard or ram I've heard bad things about this Asus model... Either way thanks
Specs:
Gigabyte RX 580 (4gb)
Ryzen 1400
Asus b350m
Some Corsair ram. (I think)
Some Corsair 450w PSU
1tb western digital blue hard drive
Zalman Z3 case

Thank you for your help. I really want to get to the bottom of this

1. First thing I would do is disable automatic restart. This will allow you to view error codes
http://www.ilovefreesoftware.com/08/windows-10/disable-automatic-restart-system-failure-windows-10.html

2. Note the dates / time of the restarts and look in Event Viewer to see what error or warning events the system recorded at that time.

3. Disable Windows ability to install hardware drivers, then install all latest drivers from component manufacturer web sites.

4. Detailed hardware info would be a help.

5. To see if CPU is stable or operating within temp limits you could run Rog Real Bench test (about 8 minutes) using HWiNFO to record max CPU voltage sand temps.

6. PSU is borderline ... especially if one of Corsair's "builder" series.

This is Guru3D's generic power supply recommendation for the series:

AMD Radeon RX 570 - On your average system the card requires you to have a 450 Watt power supply unit as minimum.

If you are going to overclock GPU or processor, then we do recommend you purchase something with some more stamina

7. Is the RAM a 'matched set" (came in same package), is speed supported by your MoBo ? Does it mast 12 hours of Memtest86+ ?

I disabled automatic updates but to no avail so that's why I think it could be a reset switch issue... I cant reach old posts on this mobile version but tommorow on my families pc I should be able to send accurate specs and because it's at a friend's at the moment I'll get it back around 6 tommorow and I'll put the memtest on overnight and even if it does it might not even be the memories fault pure coincidence could be it's reason of death as something else may have happened to trigger at that time but I'll try tommorow at like 6 either way thank you for your time I'll basically be able to get back to you tommorow or the day after with results

Automatic updates really doesn't enter into it. What we want to stop is your PC from restarting. You PC is reaching a failure point and MS has set the default setting in response to this to "Let's restart the PC, maybe the problem will go away and if it does then the owner doesn't need to know what caused it " Instead of "The PC just hit a failure point, let's tell him what caused it".

Sorry I meant I disabled automatic restart but you know how it is when you miss type something... Either way disabling it's restarting to get an error message was done a while ago to no avail and it reboots anyway...
