I just plugged my PC with windows 10 into an RCA HD tv via HDMI. When I switched over to the proper source it read "1080x1920" and the windows logo is clearly high def, but after about 5 seconds the screen refreshed and read 1080p only and the resolution looks crappy. I have my PC display setitngs at 1080x1920, same with Nvdia Control Panel. My drivers for my monitor and GPU are up to date. I want it to be proper HD, like I get on my PS4, not a low res 1080. Help?

Some games downward adjust video quality if the video card can't keep up. Netflix, etc, all cut video quality if the network is too slow.

Suggest you post your system specs and what you were doing when the "after about 5 seconds the screen refreshed and read 1080p only and the resolution looks crappy." event happened.

1080p is exactly the screen resolution that is 1920 x 1080 using progressive scan (not interlaced) @ up to 60 hz.
