Hello, I'm trying to build my new PC and I'm lost on where the USB 3.0 front I/O from the Corsair 400c connects into my Asus z270f motherboard? If anyone can help me I'd appreciate! Thanks!

Solution
There should be rectangular plugs which come from the case and connect to the big flat headers marked USB 2.0 and USB 3.0, usually located at the very bottom front of your motherboard and around the edges.

Your case should have the following basic front panel cables coming out of it :

The largest of the cables (at the rightmost in the above photo) is the USB3.0 (19-pin) cable, used to connect your case's 2x USB3.0 front panel I/O ports. This cable is connected on your motherboard's USB3.0 internal header (also a 19-pin header), labelled as "USB3_34", located just below the screw hole near the center of the photo of the motherboard shown below. This cable only goes in one way, so, check the orientation of the 19-pin socket against the 19-pin header so you won't break any pins.

The first 5 small cables in the photo of the cables above, i.e., the "POWER SW" (2-pin), the "RESET SW" (2-pin), the "-P LED" (1-pin), the "+P LED" (1-pin), and the "(+) (-) H.D.D. LED" (2-pin), will all be connected to your motherboard's Front Panel Header (a 17-pin header), which is lablled as "PANEL", located at the bottom-right corner of your motherboard (just beneath the bottom-right screw mounting hole as shown in the photo above).

This header is a group of pins (it's a 20-pin group but only with 17 actual pins), that looks like this:

[o][o][o][o][x][o][o][o][o][o]
[o][o][o][o][o][o][x][o][x][o]

* where: o = pins; x = no pin

The first 4 pins at the top row and the first 4 pins at the bottom row is where you will connect those front panel cables:

[o][o][o][o][x][o][o][o][o][o]
[o][o][o][o][o][o][x][o][x][o]

You will connect the:

+P LED, at the left | -P LED at the right --> [o][o] | [o][o] <-- PWR SW, (+) or (-) orientation does not matter
HDD LED, (+) at the left, (-) at the right --> [o][o] | [o][o] <-- RESET SW, (+) or (-) orientation does not matter

The middle-sized cable shown in the photo above, labelled "HD AUDIO" (9-pin), is used to connect your case's Audio/Mic Jacks. This cable is connected to your motherboard's HD Audio header, labelled as "AAFP", which is located near the bottom left corner of your board shown in the photo below. The cable only goes in one way, so, check the orientation of the 9-pin socket against the 9-pin header so you won't break any pins.
