I installed Ubuntu on a brand new HDD and whenever I try to boot it up it leads to a pink screen where i can choose to boot Ubuntu (16.04) and 2 other options. If i choose to boot it, my monitor just goes to sleep and i have to unplug my PC to restart it. Replacing "quiet splash" to "nomodeset" works only for 1 boot, and then if I restart my PC, I'll have to repeat the process.
