GTX 980 Ti or GTX 1060 6GB?

I am wondering which card I should get for upcoming games? I can get a 1060 for $200 and a 980 Ti for $285. Which is better for the price? I have an i5 6500.

Both work well for PubG. The 980 ti is faster, but is older tech and uses more power/creates more heat.

If you want best performance, then the 980 ti is a good choice.

The 980Ti is better, but both cards have poor DX12 performance.

So i'm fine with the 1060. I think i'll get it. I don't play hardcore games. Maybe only PUBG, BF1, and Lawbreakers (when it comes out) Thanks for the help.
