Can ASRock Fatal1ty Z170 Gaming K4/D3 motherboard be used with DDR3 RAMs, which are 1866 mhz and 1.5 V? Or perhaps can I set the RAMs to 1.35V in Bios settings, and what would be the disadvantages of that? I would use them with an Intel Core i7-6700K processor. Will it work for sure? I do not have DDR3L RAMs. I have 2 pieces of RAMs, both of which are Kingston KHX1866C10D3/8G.

The official website of motherboard said it supports the followings, so I think it should work with DDR3 RAMs, but I am not sure:

Dual Channel DDR3/DDR3L Memory Technology
- 4 x DDR3/DDR3L DIMM Slots
- Supports DDR3/DDR3L 2133+(OC)/1866(OC)/1600/1333/1066 non-ECC, un-buffered memory

Solution
Yeah, the RAM sticks are compatible with your motherboard... The difference between ddr3 and ddr3l is that ddr3l consumes lesser power than ddr3,

Thank you. Then it won't have any disadvantages and it will work well on 1.5 V with my RAMs with i7 6700k. Or maybe I should set my RAMs to 1.35 V? I have this kind of RAMs: Kingston KHX1866C10D3/8G. They are not on the compatibility list, but will they work anyway? They are not on my current motherboard's compatibility list, but they are still working great with it, so I hope they will with the new one as well.
ASUS B150 PRO GAMING D3 would work with i7 6700k processor as well? With the motherboard, processor and RAM combination mentioned above? Thanks in advance! :)

I forgot to mention that I want to build 2 PC. The first one mine: ASRock Fatal1ty Z170 Gaming K4/D3 motherboard with i7 6700k processor. This would be the overclocked PC. And the second for my girlfriend: ASUS B150 PRO GAMING D3 motherboard with i7 6700Kc processor but it won't be overclocked. I just wanted to buy "k" processor because it has higher megahertz.
So do you think both of the motherboards would be fine with our DDR3 RAMs (Kingston KHX1866C10D3/8G)? Thanks for your help! Everyone says opposite things I am kind of confused now..

Yes both will be fine, But i suggest you to go for ddr4 mobo and a ddr4 ram as that will improve performance and ddr4 ram sticks aren't so costly at the moment.
Ok do a thing. Give me your total budget for the 2 builds and i will suggest you a better build as the builds you are making has limited upgradibility and in the future will be a costly upgrade...

Okay, thank you. :)

1. version for me:
Motherboard: 165$
Processor: 225$

2. version for my girlfriend:
Motherboard: 120$
Processor: 225$

DDR4 RAMs are not in the price because they would be too expensive for us now, so we would like to use our previous DDR3 RAMs for a while. I would like to have in addition an MSI GTX 1080 and GTX 1060 for my girlfriend in the future.
