Graphics card recommendations for 4K gaming

I just recently bought a 4K monitor it is the asus pb287Q. I already own a monitor which I was thinking of using as my second display and having the 4K monitor as my main. I planning to play games on this so can anyone recommend me a good graphics card and I would like to run my games on moderately high settings.
My current card is the Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1050 Ti And I am also wondering if it will be compatible with my monitor.

Thanks if you need any more specs of my pic to help answer please ask.

Note: I only use my main display for gaming my secondary one is NOT 4K and I will have chrome etc open on that

Would my current card be able to handle it or nah
Also is their a cheaper one out there as my budget is around 500-800 Aus dollars and that one you recommended is a lot of $$
    Thanks
  3. 1050Ti for 4k?...100% meh!

Not for gaming. 4k is a hell of a lot of pixels to render.

Minimum I would go for would be the gtx 1070, but youll be turning the settings down
  5. I would suggest you go for the GTX 1080 or the 1080ti for the best 4k gaming experience but if you have a lower budget then the GTX 1070 should also serve the purpose, I currently game on a GTX 1070 at 4k but I mostly peak at about only 30 fps with occasional screen tearing at more graphic intensive games. but if you want to focus on resolution over higher fps on a budget then the 1070 is for you.. At about $650 at the lower end and $800 for the more higher end GTX 1070s on Umart..
  6. Zotac gtx 1080ti extreme amp edition. Incredibly powerful card with low temps.
  7. The 1070 can max out most games if you are alright with below 60 fps. I have the Asus ROG Strix version and love it!
  8. thanks everyone

i got the exact same monitor with a 7700k...i would not recommend going for a 1070....go for the 1080Ti...save some more but go for this. i bought the 1070 then traded it with dual 980Ti in sli....people saying sli doesnt work you need drivers is just horsepile...works fine. this is not the era of gtx680...if you can get 980Ti sli in 600$ like i did its better than going for a 1070 though i would have picked the 1080Ti my friend has it, but p[aid 800$....then there is the vega 64 from amd thatll be cheaper than the 1080Ti....the lower vbega model 56 i think is on par with the 1070 but cheaper....

980Ti Sli is the way to go if you can get it cheaper
get one 1080 now and add another one later.....when the prices drop
also the amd radeon 295X2 is a beast at handling 4k games....

295X2, 980Sli are the cheaper options...and will be faster than 1080 or equivalent
  10. infact the 980ti sli i went with were the msi golden edition, playing andromeda at maxed out ultra on 4k @ 50-70fps, only AA is set on SBAO as i dont need it that much...screen tearing is something i gotta solve, will have to change the screen to a gsync one....looks like that is the only option left
