Dell 635W PSU has 8 pin PCIE . I need 8 + 6 pin PCIE. Can I use this splitter

Solution
it's not up to spec

you need a PSU that can deliver more amps on a single +12V rail

If you're stuck with only being able to choose from Dell PSUs because of compatibility, then you might be stuck. I'm not 100% sure on that though

Check the label on the side of the psu, look at where it says 12v and how many amps.

You need at least 40amps on the 12v rail in my opinion.

Wold this one work for me then: https://plugloadsolutions.com/psu_reports/DELL,INC_D685EF-00_685W_ECOS%203467_Report.pdf? I'm really confused about which PSU to go with at this point. And we've all Dell PCs with Dell having it's propreitary PSUs so, not much hope of digging/ modification in there.
