Upgraded cpu and high disk usage and high temps

I recently bought an i5 4460 to replace my i3 4170 i didnt replace the stock i3 cpu cooler but im getting high 90 temps and spikes in disk usage i dont know whats going on can anyone help my psu is a fsp500-60hhn and i dont know wether its good enough ty

If this is happening on idle. I doubt it has anything to do with PSU.

You need to replace the cooler. The i5 TDP is at 84w and the old i3 was running at 54w... That CPU cooler is not rated to be used on that processor. I wouldn't use your system until you replace it with a better cooler rated for your CPU.

Fans are spinning 99% sure i installed coreectly so i dont know the problem its either psu or cooler
 


the cooler that came with your i3 CPU was only designed to be used with that CPU or lower. the cooler can't cope with the extra power the I5 has which is why the cooler is always running at full power
