Hello guys,

I'm having problems with an LG TV 55SM5KC-B. For some reason, the image it displays, when connected to any device, is always vertically orientated (even the demo images are orientated that way).

The weird thing is, only the image it displays is orientated vertically, the screen's interface is displaying horizontally, like it should be.

We have tried looking at the screen's settings but we can't find a way to make the image display normally.

Any help will be appreciated, thank you!

For reference here's a photo of the TV showing a demo image vertically but the TV's interface horizontally http://i.imgur.com/ino1wFl.jpg

And here it is displaying this forum thread when connected to my laptop http://i.imgur.com/efrmW2D.jpg

Another instance of the TV's interface showing correctly http://i.imgur.com/njyppmo.jpg

Ok, this is in fact a commercial digital signage display. (same as a tv, but no tuner, and designed to display adverts and information)
The setting you are looking for is 'OSD portrait mode'

There are settings in there: Off/ 90 / 180 / 270 (in degrees) And you will need to select off.

Also look for the ARC settings (Auto rotation control) and turn this 'on'

Hope this helps, do let me know how you get on!

THANK YOU! Once you told me the name of the setting I could search on where to find it. It was located on a super sneaky menu you have to input some code to access. You saved me, thanks a lot!
