Hello,
I manage a small hotel with 17 rooms (it's probably a little larger than a large house). I am trying to improve our wifi performance. Up until 2 months ago we had 15mbps speeds and I just upgraded to 100 mbps. We also just got a modem that can handle the 100 mbps speeds, an arris cm82oa. Our router is a Linksys WRT54G2 Wireless-G Broadband Router that has to be over ten years old and we have a wifi extender on each floor. I want to upgrade the router because I feel like that might be what is hampering our internet. When we have a full house the speeds are very slow and devices will often get booted off. Does any one have suggestions of either a type of router or a specific router that will be best for this situation? I know routers alone won't increase speeds but since I already upgraded our service and modem I thought it might be the problem but I don't want to spend $300 on a router that I won't be using properly.

I believe you need to look into commercial quality equipment. The Ubiquiti UniFI access points and the Edgerouter Lite. The UniFI is a system and having all the parts from the same line simplifies deployment.
An access point for the Lobby area, and one on each floor may be enough. If you have an outdoor pool area, you could add an outdoor AP for coverage there.
