High CPU Temp, Help!

I had just installed a new CPU Cooler for the first time ever, I've never installed one before. Everything seemed to be fine as I installed it and such but once I turned my computer on and checked the temps... my CPU is at 62C when all I'm doing it browsing the internet.

Did I do something wrong...?

The CPU Cooler came with thermal paste applied and how do I check the fan seems like it's mounted correctly.

Also not over the top? It's above 60C when I'm basically doing nothing..

My CPU runs at 50-60 browsing the internet, and only bumps up to about 65 under load. I wouldn't be super worried about temps until it reaches about 75-80, and that's still not even the point of thermal throttling for most CPUs. If everything's installed correctly, I wouldn't worry about it until temperatures become abnormally high.

What cpu, which cooler, and what is the ambient ( room) temp?
What were your temps with the previous cooler?

If the cooler was doing nothing at all, the cpu would overheat and the pc would shut down.
So having it running to check these things and give us a little more info should be ok.

My CPU is a AMD Radeon A8-6600k

The Cooler I brought is this: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B001IHAW0M/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

And the room temp isn't that hot. It should be this temp.

You need a new cooler. You need one that supports 100watt or higher TDP. your using a cooler rated for 89 TDP its going to have a hard time keeping it cool. Your cpu is going to run a bit hotter then some because its built in graphics processor. you need to have a good cooler on it or its going to run hot.

Do you have a recommendation for one? It needs to be about the same size as the one I brought, 8cm
