GTX970 Overheating - Fans not Spinning

Hello!

I'm encountering a problem where the fans on my GTX970 are not spinning, and temperatures are reaching the point where it's shutting down (around 95C, I believe) - at idle it's at 55C, which is also way, way too high. I've tried creating a custom rule to have the fans kick in 100% at 40C, but it seems they're determined not to spin.

Anyone have any suggestions? My guess is they've simply spontaneously decided to give up, but it seems really odd that *both* fans would stop working at the same time.

Thanks for the response - I don't think that's the case. I've had a pretty good look at it, and it seems perfectly fine. I have since observed that it's possible to get the fans spinning by giving them a physical push, which strikes me as really odd. It would make sense that the motor had burnt out and was having trouble starting spinning; but both at the same time?

Well probably problem while manufacturing.
New fans aren't that expensive and if it's under warranty then return it or just ask for replacement fans.
If you are buying new just be sure that you get ones with exact space between holes.
Don't use your PC much until you find new fans.

It's three years old and a new problem, so unlikely to be a manufacturing issue. I think I'm just going to have to replace the card.
