My CPU frequency

Hallo,

I Just installed hw moniring and when I finished playing battlefield 1 I was shocked, that my cpu frequency at one core reach 5 GHz. My old motherboard does not allow me overclock this cpu. Usually I have about 3.4 GHz using turboboost. How is that ven possible? Its something wrong or ITs Just bug?

Pretty sure this has to be misread from the application, the max turbo boost with 1 core for this CPU is 3.46GHz or roughly so, so the 5.1GHz is rather impossible.

It also shows Core #1 hit >4.7GHz.

That CPU should be 2.8GHz boosting to 3.46GHz (which cores 0 & 2 did).

That is very strange. What does your CPU voltage look like?

It's most likely a false reading, as 5GHz on an 860 is near impossible. Mid 4's was about it's limit, with appropriate, overclocking class motherboards etc.
