I'm looking to upgrade my computer to be able to stream better, I have a budget of $1000 and would like advice as to what I should buy.

Current system:
i5 2500k
32gigs of ddr3
gtx 1070
sabertooth p67 motherboard
2 512gig ssd
4tb hhd
3 1080p monitors

Right now I think I need to upgrade my cpu, but that pretty much means building a whole new system. I was also thinking about just looking on ebay for a i7 2600k.

I'm not really too sure what to do right now, and would love some advice as to what I should buy.

Solution
I7 would do a nice job, you could even go for Ryzen 7 1700 with a new motherboard but that would ruin the setup, so cheapest way would be 2700k + overclock.

Do you know of any websites I find old hardware, I'm sure I can find some on ebay, but I was wondering if there might be anywhere else you would recommend

If this is your board:
https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/SABERTOOTH_P67/

With the latest BIOS, you could run a i7-3770k, which is still a pretty powerful CPU. And eBay can be a decent source of used CPU's I have bought 3 from there now (Q9550's) and all have run perfectly over a year now, plus one is OC'd to 3.5ghz. Just have to pick a seller with good feedback and has a DOA return policy and/or warranty of some kind.

However, if you plan to OC, the i7-2600k or 2700k are probably better as Sandy Bridge was the last CPU gen that Intel used flux-less solder instead of thermal paste.
