Hi guys, my computer has been fine lately, no problems at all, and then randomly today it messed up? So let me break it down.

Last night when I turned my PC off I shut it down on the PC I did not hold down the computer button, and it shut off but I noticed that my computer case light was still on like the PC was still on but I figured it was doing an update or something so I went to bed. I wake up today the the light is still on but the monitors are off with no signal so I hold down the power button and turn it back on and again the monitors don't turn on... but the PC does start running. So I have no idea what's wrong

I've tried unplugging everything and plugging back in.

I checked the make sure the monitors still work and they do, so it has nothing to do with them...

I tried resetting the CMOS

I Checked and made sure everything is plugged in right

I went through this thread http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/261145-31-perform-steps-posting-post-boot-video-problems?_ga=2.52684843.2029224801.1501008711-898714792.1501008711

Because when I've tried looking up my problem everyone just links that thread and people mark it as the answer but nothing really worked for me.

I honestly think that I either got a short or my CPU is fried because like I said my RED CPU Light is on on my motherboard.

So yea I don't know what to do I think I might just need to maybe buy a new CPU? Maybe a new motherboard too? What do you guys think
